UVC – 30W – No Ozone

Description

Studies show UVC wavelength light kills organic contaminants  such as mold. mildew, and maybe most importantly viruses like the one that causes COVID. This is a 30W bulb which is stronger than most in the consumer market meaning it will kill viruses and other infectious organisms faster and at a farther range. And this is an actual low-pressure mercury vapor bulb, so that 30W is 30W, unlike the fake LED UVC bulbs you may see, that claim to produce a higher wattage, but in reality produce only a tiny, trace amount of UVC which can’t even be read by detectors.

This is a 254nm wavelength “no ozone” light, so is safe in environments that may have people and/or animals with breathing difficulties nearby, who would be affected if it were an ozone producing bulb.

These bulbs are no joke, so the following warning instructions apply and should be heeded:

• When lamp is on people and pets should leave the irradiation area. Plants may also be affected, but may be either removed or covered.
• When the lamp is on, avoid looking directly at the light without UV protective eyewear.
• For ozone producing lamps, ventilate area well after use.
• To extend the life of the bulb, please use a glove/tissue/towel/etc. if/when touching the quartz tube. As much as possible handle it by the base.

Disposal note:

This bulb is a low-pressure mercury vapor bulb much like tubular fluorescent bulbs and should be handled and disposed of in the same manner. Please dispose of or recycle in accordance with any local ordinances.

Mercury is toxic! If your bulb shatters, clean immediately wearing a face covering and disposable gloves. Dispose of the gloves and immediately wash/rinse any clothes or utensils that may have come into any contact with bulb debris.
